Toshiba at ISC 2026 in Hamburg
This year, showcased the MG Series 24TB enterprise capacity hard drives in the following live demo systems:
- A Petabyte-scale storage system with 78x 24TB SAS HDDs in AIC’s J4078 SAS4 JBOD for scientific storage.
- An integrated storage server with 60x 24TB SATA HDDs for scientific AI applications.
Both setups took place in close cooperation with our booth partners:
- AIC for server- and storage enclosure chassis
- Broadcom for Network Interface cards (NIC) and Host Bus Adaptor Cards (HBA)

In his keynote, Senior Manager Business Development, Storage Products Division Rainer Kaese traced the evolution of SAS/SATA HDD, examined why standardisation remains fundamental and outlined why HDDs are indispensable for cloud infrastructures. Furthermore, he explored future technology paths towards ever-higher capacities.
